Dr Shok Yin Lee
Dr Shok Yin Lee graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and completed her Respiratory training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, South Australia before pursuing Sleep and Pulmonary Physiology fellowship at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Western Australia. She has subsequently completed her General Medicine training in Melbourne, Victoria.
Dr Shok Yin Lee is active in clinical research related to Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. Currently, she is a General Medicine consultant at the St John of God Public and Private Midland Hospital. She is interested and has experience in managing various aspects of adult respiratory and sleep medicine, including COPD, asthma, lung cancer and both respiratory and non-respiratory related sleep disordered breathing such as obstructive sleep apnoea, respiratory failure, parasomnia and insomnia.
Dr Shok Yin Lee believes in treating patients holistically rather than just focusing on the particular disease itself and having good empathy and good listening skills to address patients’ main concerns. Dr Lee is able to converse in Cantonese, Mandarin and Malay.
