Dr Jordan Cunningham
Following studies in psychology and genetics in Melbourne, Dr Cunningham completed his medical degree and specialist physician training in Queensland. This included work in lung transplant, pulmonary hypertension and cystic fibrosis. In 2017 Dr Cunningham undertook a Fellowship in Pulmonary Physiology and Sleep Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth.
Moving to Iceland for 18 months in 2018, Jordan developed and managed the country’s home ventilation service and was the primary clinician for The National University Hospital of Iceland’s sleep service, managing both respiratory disorders like sleep apnoea and chronic ventilator failure and non-respiratory sleep disorders including restless legs syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders, hypersomnias, parasomnias, and insomnia. He was also responsible for cardiopulmonary exercise testing, lung function testing, and general respiratory work.
Dr Jordan Cunningham uses his interests in complex physiology and psychology to offer an individualized medicine approach to sleep and respiratory disorders. His focus is on offering solutions that take into consideration a patient’s specific needs and goals to optimise quality of life.
