Dr Sharon Lam
Dr Sharon Lam is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician with a special interest in airways diseases and pulmonary physiology. She has extensive experience in managing complex respiratory conditions, including severe asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, and interstitial lung disease.
Dr Lam completed her medical training in New Zealand and Malaysia, graduating with distinctions in General Medicine, Geriatrics, and Psychiatry. She undertook advanced specialist training in respiratory and sleep medicine at leading institutions in Perth, including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital.
Her clinical expertise is complemented by an interest in the study of sleep disordered breathing, respiratory failure and the physiological changes seen in severe airways disease. Dr Lam is actively involved in teaching and has presented her work at numerous scientific meetings.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and continues to contribute to professional education and respiratory research across Western Australia.
