Dr Brandon Wong
Dr Wong is a local graduate, having completed his schooling in Perth and medical degree at
the University of Western Australia. He completed his basic physician training at Sir Charles
Gairdner Hospital before training in respiratory medicine throughout all major hospitals in
Perth including Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
and St John of God Midland Hospital. He has completed an additional fellowship in sleep
medicine and pulmonary physiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he gained his
sleep medicine accreditation and was involved in managing patients with complex
respiratory failure.
He has formal Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand procedural competencies in
flexible bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, thoracic ultrasound and chest tube
insertion. Dr Wong's areas of interest include rapid assessment of suspected lung cancer,
lung nodule management and sleep disorders. Other subspecialty areas include asthma,
COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease and investigation of breathlessness.
Dr Wong brings a compassionate and evidence-based approach to respiratory and sleep
medicine. He recognises the importance of clear communication with patients and
empowers them to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
